The Fuel Logistics Specialist's role lies at the heart of the organization and the Global Fuel Logistics team is one of the key market differentiators for WFS Aviation. It is customer service combined with sales and operational/ sales support for our global customer database. A Fuel Logistics Specialist has to have a can-do approach to our customers, who can be calling in from all types of companies and all around the world with different requirements. The Fuel Logistics Specialist needs to understand different cultures and have an empathy for the differing needs of the different types of aircraft operators. The Fuel Logistics Specialist needs to feel confident to make calls to prospective customers and to build/develop those relationships, and will also be responsible for directly managing some small accounts in order to grow volume and profitability. Required: - Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) - C1- Minimum 1-2 years work experience, preferably in aviation- Some limited sales experience is a definite advantage- A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong customer service skills, and the ability to build relationships- Great attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn- Effective and professional telephone manner, commercial awareness and sound business judgement- Ability to anticipate issues, work well under pressure and to prioritize effectively- Ability to deal with the unexpected, show initiative and work alone at times as required- Ambition to grow within a fast-moving organization- Current passport holder Desirable: - Knowledge of commercial, business and military aviation fuel market- Conversant in aircraft types- Experience in Oracle systems- Receiving and making telephone calls- - Arranging fuel for customers worldwide (scheduled and ad-hoc flights), setting up and sending out Sales Orders to appropriate suppliers / airport contacts- Dealing with customer price requests for adhoc fueling, (verbal and written)- Managing some small customer accounts - grow volume and profitability- Good understanding of company credit policies, working with the Credit Team to ensure fuel is released in accordance with the current Credit Policy- Supporting the Sales teams with telephone and price quoting support- Working with the Supply teams to develop day-to-day supplier relations- Updating database with fuel shortages and other critical operational information- Gain a good understanding of company and products/services offered- Assisting external and internal customers with pricing and other general queries
