Change Management - Project Manager

The Change Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting project delivery activities that focus on making sure audiences impacted by a change are informed, equipped, prepared, and supported through the transition that the project aims to implement. This role focuses on the people side of the change, including changes to business processes, systems/tools, job roles, and organization structures. This role partners with the project manager, Business Project Lead, project sponsor, and possibly other stakeholders to support the adoption of the changes required by the project or initiative through guiding change management strategy and activities. Where needed, this role will project manage their own work and that of Learning and/or Communications specialists Key Responsibilities Understand current vs desired state in order to make a gap analysis and design the tools needed to implement change. Adapt the tools according to local culture working together with CML. Lead meetings with client to assess the critical change variables: Identify potential business risks and anticipated points of resistance. Identify sources and depth of resistance from all change populations and implement corrective actions. Determine the impact of the organization’s history on the change. Assess the impact of the current culture on the change. Support the execution of plans by client’s managers and business unit leaders. Be an active and visible coach to executive leaders who are change sponsors. Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan. Work with client’s communication, training and HR professionals in the formulation of plans and activities to support project implementation, together with CML. Identify suitable communication strategies and building on these, reviewing the plans and delivering reports to the executives.
