How will you make an impact?

The Procurement Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting procurement teams to make informed decisions that contribute to organizational growth and operational efficiencies. This role involves analyzing data, using automation systems for analytics and reporting, and assisting in process development. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, the analyst understands sourcing processes, organizational structure, and market dynamics. This knowledge allows for effective data analysis and helps drive informed decision-making within the procurement function.

What will you do?

  • Collect, model, and analyze data supporting sourcing strategies, contract opportunity identification, and supplier business reviews.
  • Develop monthly/quarterly standard direct and indirect spend and savings analysis, providing actionable insights to the category teams, customers, and leadership team.
  • Support reporting and analysis, including periodic reviews of data quality.
  • Maintain Procurement Excellence PowerBI dashboards and look for ways to drive improvements to meet customers' needs.
  • Automate key reports for spend, savings and inflation. Look for opportunities to standardize reports across groups and divisions.
  • Ensure reports contain all relevant information for Global procurement to promote a self-service environment.
  • Develop and maintain online catalogs by collaborating with the category teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive information is included.
  • Serve as super user for spend and savings tools, providing training and admin support such as new users/access, maintenance, process improvement, etc.
  • Support opportunity identification and analysis based on spend reporting. Support ad hoc data and analytics requests and consolidation based on procurement category management and other business needs.
  • Drive category analytics to inform category strategies (including trends, suppliers, common parts, market data, etc.)

Education

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in information science, data management, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in data management and analysis.
  • Experience in sourcing/procurement is a plus.
  • High level of English language proficiency (verbal and written).

Experience

  • Advanced analytics skills required - the ability to collect/interpret data to drive procurement decisions (Excel expert, experience with Power BI and Tableau necessary)
  • Sourcing, risk mitigation and Supply Chain knowledge is preferred.
  • Project management skills with demonstrated ability to take initiative, case development, track and manage own deadlines, and drive projects to completion.
  • Highly analytical with solid attention to detail; will work closely with data providers and category leaders to achieve high data accuracy and provide insights.
  • Creative problem solver who looks for ways to improve processes, visualizations of data, etc.
  • Clear communicator who maintains a high level of professionalism with internal and external team members, able to structure ideas clearly and concisely with technical and functional partners at various levels of the organization.
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail aligned with high standards of quality and excellence.
  • Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant year-over-year results.
