Software Engineer Backend- Resolve Team (Costa Rica)

About Route : About the Role

Route is looking for backend software engineers for its Resolve Team. These team members are responsible for building the customer experience around claims handling. This includes but is not limited to: User workflow, automatic claim assessment, fraud prevention and detection and automated claim resolution. As a member of this team you would be influencing the design of new systems that will be built as well as helping to evolve existing systems in a collaborative team. We work as a team to build the best experience possible for our customers as well as for the engineers who support them (That means us). We encourage all our engineers to take an active part in that process. They need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup culture where there is a tremendous opportunity and the change that comes with it.

Your participation :

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor and improve backend software
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Embody a culture of innovation, transparency, and radical candor

Requirements :

  • Fluent in English
  • Work hours based on local time in Utah
  • Contracted through third party

Qualifications :

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science
  • Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with one or more general-purpose languages, e.g. Go, PHP, Javascript, Java, C#
  • Interest and ability to learn other languages as needed

Preferred qualifications :

  • Experience with one or more of the following: AWS, SaaS software systems, microservices, REST API design, Terraform
  • Go experience is a plus
  • Experience contributing to architecture decisions on systems with high security, reliability, and scalability requirements
