About the role: The assistant property manager (APM) is the main point of contact for the residents for their team. The APM will ensure tenant satisfaction from tenant move-in through their move-out. - including assisting new tenants with moving in, handling and assigning maintenance requests, responding to tenant requests and issues, assisting with the lease renewals, and communicating with the tenants through their move out. The APM will work closely with the Property Manager to deliver value to the tenants, owners, and the properties in their portfolio.

Job Description : We are looking for an organized and motivated assistant property manager to manage a portfolio of properties. The assistant property manager will report to the property manager and perform administrative and organizational duties such as liaising with residents, collecting rent, doing basic bookkeeping, organizing property viewings, and overseeing facility maintenance. You will also be responsible for evaluating applicants and negotiating contracts.

Responsibilities :

  • Properly process all the necessary paperwork for a new resident (eligibility, credit check, lease, move-in inspection, etc.).
  • Work with the Property Manager in the preparation, completion, and maintenance of resident files.
  • Work with residents under the direction of the Property Manager to resolve any issues with neighbors or community-related problems
  • Work with the Property Manager regarding any notices to post, and maintain active knowledge of eviction proceedings
  • Courteous and professional in communications with residents, prospective residents, and representatives of other companies
  • Assist the Property Manager in maintaining general office files and records
  • Assist the Property Manager in the collection of all monies due. This includes assisting the Property Manager in posting all relevant notices and subsequently collecting delinquent rents

Requirements :

  • Customer Service
  • Property Management experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Attention to Detail

Salary : $6.00 - $7.00 per hour

Job Types : Full-time, Contract
