Payroll Administrator

Your Role and Responsibilities Responsible for performing functions in support payroll delivery for IBM Canada employees. Collaborates with other areas such as compensation, pension and benefits. Helps to drive the implementation of changing legislation.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Payroll Experience (approximately 2 years)
• Excellent English verbal and written skills
• Strong professional skills, a project management/implementation background is an asset
• Ability to learn new skills and understand the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system
• Ability to provide clear direction to employees, managers and HR when engaged
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
• Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a team environment which is based in Canada and Costa Rica
• Eastern time zone support
• Very positive attitude

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Understanding of payroll including biweekly processing, year end, garnishments, ROE, remittances, over payments etc is a plus
• Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) certified is a plus
• Understanding of Workday HCM and Payroll is a plus
• Understanding of SAP HCM and Payroll is a significant plus
