Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Finance, Shared Services, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other field.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in project management working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams to deliver projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple high-complexity projects.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems, showing a track record of making business decisions using relevant data and insights.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically; equally comfortable with long term planning and day-to-day progress tracking and execution.
  • Ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job summary Amazon is looking for a highly experienced Project Manager with a strong record of delivering complex global cross-functional projects. This role will have global scope, leading project execution to deliver operational and technical solutions for Finance Operation in the Global Retail Accounts Payable (AP) procure-to-pay processes. This high-visibility role will require leading teams spanning across Tech, Retail, Operations, Finance and Accounting to deliver high impact projects supporting Amazon’s growth in Global Retail AP.

You must be able to :

  • Work cross-functionally and across geographies with stakeholders at all levels to support large-scale programs and initiatives.
  • Lead others to drive ongoing program improvement projects based on process performance data, key metrics and customer anecdotes.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, as well as balance business needs versus technical and operational constraints.
  • Establish project priorities, identify and communicate risks and mitigation plans in collaboration with stakeholders; develop and maintain goals, milestones and completion dates.
  • Have a combination of practical and intellectual skills, as well as ability to rapidly shift and adapt to different tasks that vary between complex analyses, hands-on projects, and project management.
  • Take accountability while providing status, effectively remove barriers, and escalate issues that will impact the project delivery.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and manage project governance plans, project schedules, success criteria, project milestones, and delivery.
  • Ensure that all process changes are implemented and validate that key deliverables have been completed.
  • Identify and tackle intrinsically hard problems (e.g. ambiguous, with little to no existing structure, have significant business risk and/or potential for significant impact), and resolve issues by utilizing strong influencing skills.
  • Clearly communicate to cross-functional Sr Leaders project roadmap timelines, status, barriers and how they will be overcome, path-to-green when off plan, and where Sr Leader direction or decisions are required.
  • Coordinate efforts between Finance Operations teams and upstream Business, Operations and Technology teams to build integrated end-to-end procure to pay solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and obstacles by collaborating closely with business partners, key stakeholders and team members. Ensuring Plan B’s are always in place.

  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Business, Science, Engineering or Technology.
  • PMP certification
