What Payroll contributes to Cardinal Health

Human Resources designs, implements and delivers human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, talent management, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, among others. This function anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs in alignment with business strategies.

Payroll processes the organization's payroll according to company policy and applicable regulations, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and timely with correct withholding and deductions. This job family maintains payroll records and calculates overtime, shift payments, sales commissions and bonuses, taxes and deductions. Payroll prepares reports for management and to meet regulatory and collective bargaining obligations and addresses questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters.

Responsibilities

  • Closing Functions_
  • Closing of weekly payroll, time logs, Audit of the entire process using Summary of concepts report, which includes: provisions, benefits and deductions
  • Analysis, reports and presentation of results focused on Hours and Overtime for all Focus Factories and Management
  • Analysis and Reports of monthly hours for EHS and Human Resources departments
  • Submit the Payroll Tax return to Ministerio de Hacienda
  • Review with Cost Accounting the provision and projected hours at the end of the month
  • Reconciliation and analysis of all Payroll accounts in the balance sheet at the end of each month considering exchange rate adjustments and reclassifications
  • Analysis and Audit of deductions report (child support, garnishments, Banco Popular and Taxes)
  • Prepare a complete Headcount report at the end of the month by department for distribution to the management team
  • Reclassification and adjustments to payroll accounts by exchange rate
  • Document and audit the Aguinaldo and Bonus payroll
  • Update "Employment Level and Wages" file by checking against CCSS invoices for PROCOMER
  • Biweekly Payroll Functions_
  • Analysis and calculation of the monthly payroll advance
  • Review and audit inconsistencies of the biweekly payroll
  • Process and document variables for adjustments, retroactive payments or sick leaves
  • Record, audit and document deductions and provisions.
  • Weekly Payroll Functions_
  • Coordinate and supervise all tasks of weekly payroll processes
  • Make changes to the formulation of authorized forms
  • Create concepts and basic formulation of concepts for the calculation of spreadsheets
  • Support the review process of Kronos time logs approved by supervisors and generate close reports
  • Review and reconcile the cost centers of the generated time logs and charge the hours to Softland
  • Review and report Inconsistencies in Payroll
  • Review and audit of the summary of concepts, (Contributions, Benefits and deductions applied)
  • Report inconsistencies in Kronos time logs approval, according to sampling
  • Process Terminations
  • Prepare Overtime Hours reports by Department
  • Ad Hoc hours and headcount reports
  • Report the current Headcount at the end of each week
  • Update weekly payment projection file
  • Review special cases such as additional payments with Human Resources
  • Review supervisor, cost center and shift changes in Kronos - Exactus
  • Prepare Payroll Journal Entries to be submitted in SAP
  • Attention to employee inquiries about hourly payment, approval of Kronos time logs and deductions
  • Conduct Induction Speech of Payroll process to new staff
  • Kronos training for supervisors
  • Control, audit and recording of deductions.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience
  • BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the management of the payroll at the level of multinational companies
  • Labor legislation
  • Kronos System, Exactus
  • Knowledge of some ERP (BPCS, JDE, MAPICS).
  • Intermediate - advanced English proficiency
