Supply Chain Specialist position

The Supply Chain Specialist will be in charge to analyze, track and report supply chain health associated to major programs, such as Government Contracts, Key Corporate Accounts Contract etc. Will also have to assess the risk associated to parts shortages and/or impact of external events. Track metrics like on time performance, customer order fulfillment lead time etc.

Will develop and lead supply chain projects, performing data gathering, reporting, transactional activities, and required data analysis. Projects could be focused at one or across multiple sites depending on the business need. The position could be used to support functional needs depending on the business need.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Work with functional leadership to develop a standard mechanism to track orders, supply and risk.
  • Capture and aggregate data to track key metrics related to on time performance, supply shortages impacting the program
  • Ensure the proper level of communication and proactive escalation.
  • Effectively communicate the status of projects to Operations and all levels of management
  • Monitor project plan timelines and communicate any implications of timeline slippage to management with proposed solutions.
  • Recognize problems influencing or affected by other resource requirements impacting the ability to deliver projects in the predetermined timeline.
  • Constantly look for JDI (Just Do it) opportunities that provide an immediate impact.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in leading and driving projects across multiple functional areas.
  • Experience in production planning and capacity management policies and procedures, the capability to evaluate capacity models, smooth production loads and identify and overcome constraints
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing concepts and principles, finite scheduling, product flow, data management, and supply chain planning
  • Highly knowledgeable regarding MRP principles and system dynamics
  • Familiarity and experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts
  • Highly proficient in managing and analyzing data in Excel; complex pivot tables & reporting, power query, advanced charting, data analysis
  • Ability to demonstrate influencing skills, judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Strong organization skills

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience supporting creation of processes outside an ERP environment and integrating them into the environment
  • Certified in production and inventory management, supply chain management, or Project management; APICS CPIM, CSCP, Project management PMP, or ISM CPSM
  • Lean/six sigma green belt or higher
  • Proficient in project management software
  • Planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing MRP/ERP tools (Made2Manage, Oracle, SAP, JDE, server-based systems)
