Team Overview and Responsibilities: Reporting to Process Engineering Manager located in Heredia Costa Rica, the position holder will exhibit energetic project management of process improvements that impact the bottom line in an exciting, challenging and performance driven organization. - Demonstrate safety leadership and advance our Zero & Beyond safety culture. - Share expertise through training and leading others in the use of best practices. - Generate and evaluate the risk / reward priority of improvement opportunities. Be an advocate for Lean Sigma thinking. - Achieve results and ensure sustainment of controls. - Lead and influence teams of diverse individuals at various levels within the organization. - Improve the performance, efficiency and capacity of the processes in accordance with the strategic objectives of the business through the development of operational instructions. - Develop, document, implement and sustain manufacturing processes and products using appropriate data and statistical tools. - Baseline understanding and utilization of control systems and instrumentation used to improve process capabilities. - Maintain presence on the shop floor and provide practical troubleshooting of manufacturing processes and equipment to drive root cause analysis and corrective action. - Perform Lean Facilitator functions as necessary to implement and maintain Lean initiatives throughout their area of responsibility. - Optimize manufacturing processes, including the use of engineering methods (eg, SIX Sigma and LEAN methods) for continuous process improvement and/or redesign/design of equipment, tools, fixtures, etc. to improve manufacturing processes, employing technical design skills. - Develop experiments and tests of moderate complexity (including writing and running protocols) to qualify and validate manufacturing processes; analyze results, make recommendations and develop reports - Develop training materials and documentation (eg, work instructions) for production to enable seamless transfer of project knowledge and manufacturing processes. - Establish project plans to ensure deliverables are completed to customer expectations, using project management tools (eg, project plan, risk analysis, etc.) - Other incidental duties assigned by Leadership Who are we looking for? Qualifications: - Must have bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, chemistry, industrial production, mechanics, or related field. - Active undergraduate student in the fields related. - Good computer skills in usage of MS Office Suite; Intermediate Excel experience minimum is preferred. - Good documentation, communication (e.g., written and verbal) and interpersonal relationship skills including consultative and relationship management skills - Basic understanding of statistical techniques - Solid understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to Engineering - Solid understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work - Strict attention to detail. - Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels. - Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Must be able to work in a team environment, including the ability to manage operators and project stakeholders. - Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships. - Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment.
