Job Description : Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. Responsible for the entire payroll process.

General Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end to end payroll process in Costa Rica
  • Responsible for audits requested by headquarters
  • Recruitment of finance, customer services and technical positions
  • Provide and support in recruitment roles including job evaluation, interview and selection processes, new hire onboarding, etc.
  • Evaluate and create hiring reports for the team to provide visibility to other areas
  • Maintain physical and digital files for employees
  • Create and update employee´s reports
  • Input accurate data into all HR system in timely manner, as well as into all HR systems.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges and possible solutions to hiring needs
  • Conduct and coordinate job interviews.
  • Conduct Exit interviews and exit Analysis

Qualifications :

  • Advanced student or graduated in Business Administration or Human Resources
  • Handle key requirements or regulations to advise on specific updates for the Costa Rican region
  • Provide counseling and advise on local technical payment regulations
  • Ensure accurate payroll process and related activities
  • Analyzed and review current payroll to improve methods and control implementation
  • Independently solve moderately and complex issues with mínimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate parties as well as in a team
  • Ensure end to end ownership of resolution
  • Ensure operations according to define KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Ability to multitask and work within a hard paced pressurized environment
  • Microsoft Office proficiency particularly with excel
  • Detail oriented and Analytics skills and critical thinking and solution-oriented mindset
  • English level B2+
  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience with full payroll cycle
  • Softland system preferred
  • Knowledge of CCSS, INS, Hacienda reports as well of judicial processes, payments to Banco Popular, etc.
  • Able to review severance calculations.
