Continous Improvement Engineer

Our client in Cartago is looking for a Continous Improvement Engineer, in this position, you would be a key part of the Engineering team. Contributions & Responsibilities: - Analyze current production data - Determine the best options for process improvement tactics - Train employees on new manufacturing practices - Analyze output under new practices - Promote efficiency and safety in the plant. - Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager will strategically implement lean manufacturing to continually improve the production process. - Liaise with external suppliers to ensure equipment and consumables used are appropriate to the operations and are the most efficient solution. - Contribute to the 5s initiative to ensure that improvements are sustained and entrenched within the business

Requisitos : Qualifications : - Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or similar field. - Fluent in written and verbal English and Spanish - At least 3 years of experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment - Demonstrable knowledge of implementing lean manufacturing/continuous improvement - Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred) - Manufacturing engineering experience - Analytical skills Aptitude Requirements - Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Able to travel to Cartago everyday
