Role/Responsibilities

Position objective is to provide financial analytics and process optimization, support through all phases of the financial planning and analysis processes and projects across all segments in Moody’s Corporation Functional Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of financial planning and analysis processes, projects, and ad-hoc requests as required by the Finance organization by embracing the following responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Provide support on the development and rollout of the process optimization & data consistency, identifying key focus areas for management with moderate level of guidance from direct manager and/or senior team members

  • Support manager to work closely with stakeholder and users to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into standardized process and that test plans serve customer needs

  • Develop and maintain global templates and models, including the use of macros or BI tools as well as maintain up-to-date record of process documents or flowcharts

  • Identify, analyze and troubleshoot issues with stakeholders and users to ensure smooth defect resolution

  • Identify, recommend and assist in implementation of best practices for improvements/ enhancements to current processes, drive standardization of activities including the identification of productivity and efficiency

  • Partner with cross functional teams in the organization i.e. FP&A, Controllership, Procurement, Account Payable, etc. to foster good working relationships

  • Contribute to project planning and project status activities, including managing timelines and communicates project status, as well as stakeholder communications, progress reports, and presentations with his/her manager

Scope/Supervision and Interaction

  • Makes decisions appropriate for level of responsibility
  • Raises concerns to the appropriate level of management and keeps management informed of activities
  • Interacts with different teams across Finance in different countries, Corporate Planning, Accounting and Finance organization, Hyperion systems, etc.
  • Develops stable working relationships internally (Business and Corporate Planning colleagues, Accounting, Procurement)

Qualifications :

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or other business discipline
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant financial experience with FP&A, Accounting, Auditing and reporting processes is preferred
  • Detail and data quality oriented and capable to summarize and communicate findings/analysis
  • Excellent problem solver and independent thinker who has the ability to create innovative solutions
  • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in using Business Intelligence tools
  • Experience in project management and knowledge in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, Design Thinking, Agile and change management will be an advantage
