Job Summary: The person hired for the position of Dental Setup Technician will be a member of the 3M Oral Care Solutions Division digital manufacturing technology team.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for daily digital scan data processing and orthodontic digital set-ups for treatment with removable and/or fixed appliances.
- Providing daily support for Customer Service, Clinical Technical support teams and digital modification requests with dental professionals.
- Communication with the customer (dentists, orthodontists) may be required.
- Performing miscellaneous duties as required by supervision.
- May be required to assist in training of co-workers on an as needed basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- English level 90%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Dental knowledge with experience in a dental / orthodontic lab or office with hands-on experience and knowledge of tooth anatomy, function and occlusion
- Certified Dental Technician (CDT) or advanced training in dental lab technology
- Experience with dental CADCAM software and/or graphic design software
- Experience in a medical device environment
- Experience with custom manufacturing driven by digital technologies and/or software
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
