Workstream description: As a Legal IP Docketing Administrator for the Costa Rica GSC for Sinco, you will be supporting a group of Intellectual Property professionals with a variety of patent and trademark docketing-related activities.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Legal IP Docketing Administrator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Docketing and de-docketing IP related communications.
  • Performing quality assurance reviews.
  • Answering docketing related questions and communicating with the global in-house IP team as well as with patent offices, outside counsel and foreign associates.
  • Keeping up-to-date on global IP practices and procedures.
  • Researching and resolving complex docketing issues.
  • Supporting patent and trademark case management.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field, Prefer Law
  • 2+ years of patent and/or trademark prosecution docketing or related experience.
  • Experience with intellectual property management/docketing software, preferably Anaqua.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes and software with a positive attitude towards change.
  • Strong computer skills including document management systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced English languages skills (able to fully communicate and understand the language, both written and verbal).

Preferred skills:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Collaborative, team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excel, Word and IP Management System experience, preferably Anaqua.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Proactive and takes ownership.
