Risk & Compliance Lead Associate/Expert : Responsibilities :

  • Ensuring appropriate internal controls are designed and documented for processes and markets supported by SSC
  • Monitoring and testing internal controls performance over time, with special focus on SOX controls periodic assessment
  • Assisting in US GAAP audit of Group entities including gathering data, preparation of various reconciliations, review of schedules prepared by other SSC teams, communication with the audit team
  • Assisting in statutory financial statements audit of Group entities including liaising with all stakeholders (the statutory auditors, market teams, other SSC teams), tracking multiple information requests, assessing audit outcome, resolving issues identified (if any), identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • Ensuring compliance with global policies, procedures and best practices in relation to the internal control environment, particularly in relation to SOX compliance
  • Acting as an advisor to process managers advising on best practices, assisting pro-actively in control monitoring and assessments
  • Responsible for proper and timely escalation of compliance issues
  • Coordinating business continuity management for SSC in line with global policies and procedures
  • Responsible for providing guidance to SSC on safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity and availability of sensitive information
  • Supporting the local legal team in maintaining the appropriate control framework in relation to data privacy
  • Supporting the ongoing development and expansion of SSC scope / footprint

Experience :

  • Degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Professional accountancy qualification
  • 5 years of experience in accounting / audit (experience with a Big 4 firm considered a plus)
  • Knowledge of US GAAP considered a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP considered a plus
