  • Finance Mission: To provide data-driven financial insight to support execution of superior, real-time operating and strategic decisions with timely and reliable financial reporting. The Finance Transformation, Data and Systems team enables the Finance department with the accessibility of data, technology and analytic / BI solutions. We accelerate Finance Transformation by enabling a data-driven and digital culture.

Role/Responsibilities

The Senior Manager - BI&A Operations supports the maintenance and operational excellence of complex Business Intelligence and data solutions, primarily for business stakeholders. The position manages junior analysts supporting their development and guiding them through the best practice of operational delivery of BI and data solutions. Functional Responsibilities :

  • Manage the processes and maintenance of solutions built by the BI&A delivery team.
  • Provide BI advisory/consultancy/training to team members and business stakeholders
  • Understand requests for maintenance & enhancements in the context of BI delivery
  • Work closely with BI&A delivery teams to ensure effective handover
  • Work with BI&A delivery and CIT to help optimize queries to reduce load on Power BI premium capacity
  • Able to troubleshoot and identify root causes for any defects and communicate resolution to BI&A delivery team
  • Build and monitor operational KPIs (Scheduled refreshes, Usage stats) via admin API’s
  • Provide mentorship in BI upskilling program for the Finance organization
  • Participate in discussions with stakeholders on large scale projects/deployments
  • Manage and support analysts in delivering operational excellence
  • Support direct reports in their career development, providing training, on the job experience and networking opportunities

Scope / Supervision and Interaction :

  • Makes decisions appropriate for level of responsibility, raises concerns to the appropriate level of management and keeps management informed of activities
  • Relies on management for key decision making
  • Adapts style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters.
  • Manages direct resources in order to deliver on stated objectives

Qualifications : » 7+ years of experience in maintaining BI solutions

  • Experience in understanding BI delivery components (ETL, Star Schema’s, KPI metrics via DAX)

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or other quantitative/technology field

  • Post-graduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or other quantitative/technology field, is a plus

  • High proficiency in Power BI and its end-to-end solution, including integration with other database reporting tools, data sources, and data visualization

  • Advanced knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate is a plus

  • Proven experience in scripting languages (e.g. R, Python) is a plus

  • Proven experience working with relational or multidimensional databases (e.g. SQL, Hyperion) is a plus

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and creative skills with an ability to exercise sound judgment and make timely supportable decisions

  • Experience managing and governing large data sets and its quality

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills Key Competencies :
